Per G. Otte and Dr. Ryan have successfully enhanced vision by as much as 80% for patients who have lost vision from macular degeneration and other eye diseases using his patented MicroAcupunctureT procedure.MicroAcupunctureT treatments can also reduce the rate of vision degeneration caused by diabetes, glaucoma and retinitis pigmatosa and other vision related disorders and is especially effective in treating the effects of macular degeneration. Browse through our web site to learn more about the procedures and the treatments. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the procedure, treatment and potential results.
Reduced vision is a part of the aging process that can be temporarily halted, but not cured. MicroAcupunctureT can help slow the aging process and its effects on vision, but it requires continual updating to maintain the level.
Our clinical experience is that over 90% of patients treated show an improvement in their acuity or vision field. The remaining 10 percent may be actually stabilizing their vision, which in itself is a win. We have not yet noticed anyone who has actually lost vision due to the procedure. Patients with active hemorrhaging in the eye in a location not suitable for laser treatment are likely to benefit from microacupuncture treatments.
MicroAcupunctureT can help minimize the leakage and improve the vision. Browse the website for more information about the treatments, or contact one of these clinics.
Over thirteen years, Drs. Otte and Ryan have treated thousands of patients with Microacupuncture for retinal and optic nerve disorders. In over 95% of cases there is an improvement in vision. In cases where patients do not show positive results in at least one eye, they are not charged for the first six treatments. Please call for 800.422.4933 for details.
Improvement in vision is determined by data from visual field testing. A visual field scan is an objective test that detects light sensitivity of the retinal cells, and is used to determine the health and integrity of the retina and optic nerve by observing what the patient can actually see. Acuity tests are more subjective and cannot be used alone to determine if a patient is actually benefiting from treatment. However, acuity tests help confirm the accuracy of the visual field test.
Many practitioners use microstimulation to treat eye diseases. This will show small changes in vision, but these changes are not reliable. The improved muscle function around the eyes will cause a temporary increase in vision. It does not necessarily produce changes in the strength or integrity of the retina.
