Lizbeth A. Ryan, DOM, Dipl. Ac., Dipl. CH, M.Sci
Dr. Lizbeth Ryan is the chief MicroAcupuncturist at the Arkansas Therapy Center. She was trained extensively by Per Otte, one of the developers of the MicroAcupuncture™ technique and continues to work closely with him.
Dr. Ryan was trained at the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, where she received a Master Degree in Oriental Medicine. She is licensed by the State of Arkansas as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. She holds a Master of Agricultural Economics from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University. Dr. Ryan is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.
Dr. Ryan became interested in Chinese medicine several years ago after discovering
the benefits through her own healing. She decided to study Chinese Medicine
believing this method is truly a holistic form of natural healing. The bodys
innate desire to heal occurs when the patient takes responsibility for their
health and utilizes methods that allow the healing mechanism to take place.
Helping restore eyesight through MicroAcupuncture™ is the most rewarding
work she could be doing. Many patients have been told nothing can be done to
stop or reverse the affects of macular degeneration and other debilitating eye
diseases. It is a miracle to be able to bring hope to these patients.
Dr. Ryan spends her leisure time playing piano, gardening and boating.
