Per Otte has been developing and teaching MicroAcupuncture since 1984. He has a degree as Doctor of Naturopathy from Southern College of Naturopathy, a Doctor of Science and Acupuncture degree from South General Hospital University in Colombo, Sri Lanka and is licensed by the State of Arkansas as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine.

Otte worked with fellow Dane, Dr. Freddy Dahlgren, who discovered the new points in the 1980s. After coming to America in the early ‘90s, Otte continued to develop and improve MicroAcupuncture™, increasing its success rate from 70 percent to over 90 percent. He also achieved success using MicroAcupuncture™ with other eye diseases in addition to AMD.
